Phuket rightly ranks first among Thailand’s tourist destinations. It is truly endowed with natural beauty, and traveling along its coastline, you will see beautiful white-sand beaches one after another.
Phuket doesn’t only have amazing beaches, though. You’ll experience vibrant nightlife, browse impressive temples and quaint little shops, restaurants, and much more. Like any small seaside town, Phuket has its own distinct personality, and deciding where to stay can be very difficult.
Phuket was a full adventure for us, with experiences and sights we will remember for the rest of our lives, all in a day and a half. We had planned to visit Phuket while we were on our honeymoon in the Phi Phi Islands. We were looking to stay somewhere close to the central part of the island while keeping the cost reasonable. In this article, we will discuss why Rang Hill Residence was the best accommodation choice during our visit.
Location
While most people choose to stay in beachfront neighborhoods, we chose to stay in Phuket town, as we were coming from the Phi Phi Islands. It’s common after all for those there to visit the town on a day trip, but there are many reasons why we think you should seriously consider staying at least a night or two in town. In particular, stay at Rang Hill Residence, which is located within walking distance of Phuket’s old town.
The distance to the town’s shops and restaurants is just a 10-minute walk. It is located away from the hustle and bustle of the city center yet very close to everything we needed. Also, the closest beach, Siray Bay Beach, is 6 kilometers away, and Patong Beach is 9 kilometers away.
Everything we had arranged was within 15 to 20 minutes of Rang Hill Residence, saving us a lot of time we would have wasted on our commute. For us, this was the most important factor in choosing this accommodation because we had planned to visit Phuket for only a day and a half, and our time to see everything we wanted was limited. So the location of the RHR was perfect for us!

The Rang Hill Residence room we chose was spotless and quite spacious, and left us quite satisfied. It is quite important for us to feel comfortable after a long, activity-filled day, so having a clean place to stay is one of the most important factors when choosing accommodation.
Also, a key factor is that the bed should be clean, spacious, and comfortable, and in this regard, Rang Hill did not disappoint us. After the trip, having explored the Old Town, done our shopping, and sampled their delicious cuisine, we wanted to know that upon returning to the room, we would have a relaxing bath and be adequately rested for the next full day. And that’s exactly what happened, we came back and recharged our batteries for our second day, thanks to the comfort the room provided.
The air conditioning in the room, especially in the tropical climate with intense heat and humidity, was quite satisfactory. Also, the Wi-Fi signal was strong, and we were able to organize the rest of our trip. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and they helped us book a taxi and recommended several places to visit and restaurants to eat at.
Unfortunately, due to a lack of time, we didn’t have time to enjoy the hotel’s large swimming pool with its well-maintained facilities and comfortable loungers. We also saw that there is a fitness center with lots of equipment, which unfortunately we also didn’t have time to visit because we didn’t have the comfort of time.
Rang Hill Residence was the best accommodation choice we could have made during our visit to Phuket, and we would definitely choose it again.
